Guided walks

Magical and living trails

Hotel Punta Leona is one of the most important private reserves in the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica and plays an important role in biological conservation. Due to its geographical location very close to the Carara National Park recognized as one of the most important birding parks in Latin America, the reserve is one of the few remaining forests in the transition zone between the Northwest Dry Forest and the Tropical Rainforest of the Southeast.

The reserve is home to more than 330 species of birds,  as well as various mammals, such as white monkeys, raccoons and spider monkeys. Discover the reserve and its wildlife through its three well-accessible and well-marked trails or stop near one of the various natural feeding stations for hummingbirds, birds and other mammals. Enjoy the thrilling experience of one of our trails and discover the extraordinary variety of exotic flora and fauna that surrounds the area. Feel the thrill of walking through an environment where the only noise is the harmonious and unique sound of nature.

The more adventurous will also have the opportunity to enjoy night walks, during which they will encounter animals such as frogs, scorpions, snakes and various insects.
