This package is an educational travel experience that combines education, conservation, and recreation into the ultimate adventure tour. It is ideal for anybody that desire to learn about life in Costa Rica, the culture, the language, the people and their customs.

DAY 1
Welcome to Hotel Punta Leona!!!

Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel and get ready to start your first activity at 9:00 a.m. This activity will last approximately 45 minutes and it will help you to identify yourself with the way Costa Ricans speak Spanish. You will be introduce to the most common phrases and idioms used in Costa Rica and how to use them in daily situations.
At 10 a.m. you will start your second activity of the day that will last about 1 ½ hours approximately. We will teach you how to cook one of the most popular Costa Rican dishes: Gallo Pinto and hand made Tortillas.
After lunch you will have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings and attractions available at the hotel.

DAY 2

This morning, after breakfast we will meet at 9 a.m. at the Front Desk so you will be transferred to a rural school. Here you will have the opportunity to teach Basic English words and phrases to the students by playing games, reading stories and other activities. After that, depending on the school you and the students will either participate in cleaning up a community or a beach or start a reforestation project. This activity will last 4 hours approximately and will help you identified with local people and their surroundings.
Return transfer to the hotel for lunch. Take the afternoon to explore or just relax in our beautiful beaches.

DAY 3

Early in the morning you will start a Bird Watching walk that will last 1 1/2 hour approximately. At 6:00 a.m. a naturalist guide will start walking with you and will help you identify some of the most common birds in Punta Leona, and also the main flora that makes possible the variety of fauna in the area. You will also learn some natural ways to keep away insects such as mosquitoes without using bug sprays.
At 11 a.m. you will start the second activity of the day, Planting Trees around Punta Leona for about 2 hours. You and the Naturalist Guide will plant Sea Almond trees around the beach and receive an Explanation about the important role that these trees play in purifying the air and as food for the Scarlet macaws (Ara macao). Free afternoon to relax at our beautiful hotel.

DAY 4

Today you will learn how to make Coroza Coconut rings. You will start at 9:30 a.m. for about an hour and you will learn how to make a common type of handicraft in the area: Coroza Coconut rings. Coroza is a species of palm that grows near the coast; its fruit is used by many Costa Rican people to make handmade jewelry.
At 11 a.m. you will start your second activity of the day. You will learn for 2 hours approximately to develop one of the most popular folk dances in Costa Rica: El torito, which is a representation of a Costa Rican man trying to get a woman to like him. This is a fun activity.
In the afternoon you will have free time to enjoy some of the optional activities offered by the hotel or relax.

Day 05
Enjoy the buffet breakfast in the morning. End of our services.
